Welcome to the 2008 Newaygo Jr. Football & Cheerleading Season!
Teams on the road, this week our 1st & 2nd grade team traveled to Montague trying to keep up their winning streak. After a hard fought game Newaygo fell short to Montague. Newaygo B 5th & 6th grade team traveled down the road to Grant to take on the Grant S team; boy did they hear the Lion roar Newaygo beat Grant 34-0.
Our other teams were home our 3rd & 4th grade team fought a hard game, however they fell short to Grant B, these little guys struggle but I feel their day in the sun is coming. Our 5th & 6th grade Mumper’s team also defeated Grant B with a 34-8 win.
Detroit Lions halftime game, our 3rd & 4th grade team will be going to the Detroit Lions Vs Chicago Bears on October 5 and play during the halftime of that game.
Field Director is looking for help this coming Saturday, see Tim Polasek at practice this week and volunteer to help run Chains, Scoreboard, and Time Clock or help cleaning up the field. Any and all help would be appreciated by Tim and all Board members.
Concessions is another area we could always use some help, see Chris Warren I am sure she can use your help.
Board meeting this Tuesday at the High School Football Field in the bleachers, Executive Board meets at 6:15pm and public meeting starts at 6:30pm stop by and add your ideas they are always welcome.
Remember our Parent’s Relations Director is Amanda Auw please contact her with issues you may have.
I sent a survey out please take time to fill it out, I do read them and discuss them with the board and often times they do produce good results.
